FESTIVAL FOTOPUB, Off-Festival Exhibition: Ciril Zlobec, Kiribati is Gone

The story of Kiribati is a picture of life in many Pacific countries in development – a story of many nations, which battle the issues, connected to global warming. Kiribati is a small island nation of 33 atolls, spread out through the south Pacific; they spread out on a surface bigger than Alaska, but you could gather all the land in Manhattan. Kiribati have been inciting interest of the global public through their president Anote Tong, who has been actively alerting that life will soon not be possible in his country anymore. He said: “Perhaps Kiribati are already over the point of no return. Making plans for the day that you have no homeland anymore is painful, but I think it has to be done.”
The festival will also Fotopub few exhibitions that are on display during the festival, but do not fall under the thematic section Eurovision festival.
