The exhibition from the Pavel house in Laafeld/Potrna, Austrian Styria, entitled “Let’s see what they are doing – Slovenians in Austrian Styria” is one of the exhibitions at the new Maribor exhibition grounds in the former Grand café (Velika kavarna). At the exhibition, the visitors be familiarised with the situation of the Slovenians in Austrian Sytria, from the establishment of the first Slavic settlements in this area up to the present day. With texts, visual material and interesting recordings of conversations, the exhibition wishes to encourage the awareness of and the reflection on the Slovenians that live as a minority in Austrian Styria. Even though they are in fact very close to us physically, their past and especially their everyday life are less frequently mentioned than facts about Slovenians living in Austrian Styria. The exhibition will be accompanied by live events, including the presentations of various artists that are connected with the exhibition concept. It will be on view every day from 20 July to 14 September between 10.00 am - 1.00 pm and 4.00 - 9.00 pm. Visitors are warmly invited!
