Nelson Mandela on the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
London will host the Olympic Games from 27 July to 12 August, 2012. The Paralympic games will take place in London between 29 August and 9 September, 2012.
The exhibition depicts Olympic athletes to a background of famous British landmarks. It tells a story about London being the first summer Host City to embed sustainability in its planning from the start. This goes far beyond being ‘green’: it is changing people’s thinking, setting new standards and creating positive, lasting change for the environment and communities. It also tells a story about London Games being the first Summer Games to fully integrate Olympic and Paralympic Games in the Summer Games planning structures. This demonstrates the commitment of the UK to continue its proud Paralympic heritage.
From 10.7.2012 the exhibition will be located on Leon Štukelj square.
