The first open-air gallery will be opened on May 25th with the construction of nine modular boards about Feri Novak's architectural and urbanistic legacy in Murska Sobota. These info-points will remain until the end of September or even longer, if this will be in the interest of the local community. Guided tours will be organised. With this we plan to raise awareness about the opus of a fellow townsman, enrich the knowledge about our own living-space and strengthen the town's cultural offer. Feri Novak was one of the most important representatives of functionalistic architecture and urbanism in Slovenia. He worked mostly in Murska Sobota. He envisioned the town's future development according to urbanistic plans including it's growth, the height of buildings in relation to their surroundings, dedicated zones and a space for a main square. He was in charge for the urbanistic design of new neighborhood centers, major traffic road and the bypass road, the main square and the main street. A guide over nine points – nine architectural landmarks will be printed and thus the gallery will be functional even without guided tours. Introductory lectures and guided tours will take place on chosen Fridays, exceptionally also on Saturdays. In the even time at least three guided tours will be organised, but the number of tours will be adapted to demand. Preparation, lecture and guiding by the architect Tomaž Ebenšpanger.
