The Internet, phones, advertising, television, and other globalization effects no longer give us a chance to enjoy ourselves in peace. Bearing this in mind, Elvis Halilović came up with a floating town on Velenje Lake, as a meeting point of art, design, and ecology with all the characteristics of a futuristic approach to living and creating. The floating town will host artists from several European countries who will be isolated from the outside world and open new dimensions to art creativity. The town will also serve as an education platform for a self-sufficient lifestyle. The floating town will be constructed from geodesic cupolas forming a self-sufficient and energy-sufficient unit. All project elements will be adapted so they do not have a negative influence on the environment. Electricity, heating, ventilation, food, toilets, water, living and working spaces will be provided for the inhabitants. The town will showcase the unused potential for coexistence and synergy with nature.
Selected artists will be exposed to one week of isolation on the island, where they will spend time producing new works.
