The puppet show is based on the motifs of the tale by brothers Grimm from 1812. In the original version, it is quite cruel – in the end, the wolf is cut open, filled with stones and sewn together again, after which they leave him to drown in the well. This makes for one of the first horror stories that tender ears of our children hear. The puppeteers of Velenje Festival reconsidered how the wolf feels about it, and imagined, what would happen, if one day the wolf would simply say “I’ve had enough!”.
