The 2012 Days of Poetry and Wine festival is set to undergo a substantial expansion by hosting some of the greatest contemporary poets. The central part of the festival will feature nightly poetry readings in original languages, including 25 poets from different countries who will read in 20 different languages. Most of the events will be held in Ptuj, with readings scheduled to appear also in Ljubljana, Krško, Padna, Murska Sobota, Ormož, Volče near Tolmin, Celje, Vrba na Gornejskem as well as Zagreb and Graz. Nightly readings will be accompanied by smaller-scale poetry events, with individual poets presenting their poetry on a smaller, more intimate scale. The readings will be rounded up by round tables intended primarily for poets and the expert public.
A poet on the Square
