Karmen Pečar was born 1984 in Ljubljana and took her first violoncello lessons at the tender age of five with professor Vladimir Kovačič in Maribor. In 2003 she graduated from the Maribor Conservatory of Music and Ballet and simultaneously graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Music, acquiring her Master’s degree under the mentorship of professor Valter Dešpalj in 2005. She honed her skills under the mentorship of professor Reinhard Latzko at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. She currently serves as assistant to professor Valter Dešpalj at the Zagreb Academy of Music. Karmen Pečar caught the eye of the musical public after making her debut with the Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of thirteen when she performed Elgar’s Cello Concerto. In 1999 the same orchestra honoured Pečar by presenting her as their soloist at the 50th Dubrovnik Festival.

Petar Milić was born in Kranj and took up piano lessons at the tender age of seven. After grammar school he attended the Kranj Gymnasium and the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet under the mentorship of J. Lovše. After graduation he continued his studies of piano at the Ljubljana Academy of Music under the mentorship of J. Lovše. During his studies he often performed in concerts across Slovenia and took additional classes with renowned international musicians, such as Arbo Valdma, Igor Lazko, Daniele Alberto, Pascal Devoyon and Elena Lapitskaja. In 1996 Milić received the Prešeren Prize of the Ljubljana Academy of Music for his rendition of L. van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 under the baton of A. Nanut. In 1997 he took part in the Nikolaj Rubenstein International Piano Competition in Paris and earned a 1st place finish, as well as an invitation to the “Recontres musicales de Geneve” music festival in Geneve, Switzerland. In order to additionally improve his musical skills, Milić enrolled in the postgraduate programme at the Berlin University of the Arts. After successfully passing his preliminaries (the university admitted only 9 out of 70 candidates) he commenced his studies in the class of Klaus Hellwig.
