Feguš String Quartet was founded in 1992 and is comprised of the Feguš brothers: Filip Feguš (violin), Simon Peter Feguš (violin), Andrej Feguš (viola) and Jernej Feguš (violoncello).
After finishing primary education in local Maribor, the brothers continued their musical path at the Carinthian State Conservatory in Klagenfurt. In 2001 they were accepted to the prestigious private school “Scuola di Musica di Fiesole” in Florence and graduated from chamber music in 2007 under the mentorship of Milan Škampa (Smetana Quartet), Piero Farulli (Quartettto Ialiano) and Andrea Nannoni (Nuovo Quartetto). To help their studies the brothers were granted a scholarship by the president of Italy Carlo Azeglio Ciampi.
In 2008 the Feguš brothers enrolled in master studies of chamber music at the Graz Academy Music and Performing Arts under the mentorship of Stephan Görner (Carmina Quartet).
