The harvest of the world’s oldest grape-bearing vine has become the world’s most important harvest and one of the largest celebrations in Maribor. At harvest time the Lent is filled with thousands of people, from Maribor locals and other wine-loving guests, to state representatives, diplomatic assemblies, representatives of different societies, wine orders and fraternities, wine queens and numerous other visitors.
