Rožna Dolina is an elongated settlement lying at a height of 86 metres above sea level. It extends for four kilometres along the valley of the same name, which stretches from Ajševica to the national border at the Rdeča Hiša international border crossing. The valley is bounded to the south by the slopes of Stara Gora and Markov Hrib, and to the north by the forest of Panovec. Urban agglomerations are located on the valley bottom and the slope of the nearest elevations. After the Second World War a residential district grew up by the junction near the international border crossing.
