This time, Jan Garbarek, one of the world's most recognizable European saxophonists, will share the stage with a line-up including the Indian master of Eastern and Western rhythms, the percussionist and drummer Trilok Gurtu.
Jan Garbarek joined the very elite of modern jazz at an early stage of his career, particularly thanks to intense collaboration with the jazz pianist Keith Jarret. Trilok Gurtu made a name for himself in jazz and jazz fusion circles in the 1970s, when he began to play Western drums. He is well known both for his acclaimed solo projects and regular collaborations with such great names in jazz as Don Cherry, Terje Rypdal, John McLaughlin, Jan Garbarek, Joe Zawinul and Bill Laswell.
