Tabor

Tabor is a small clustered village overlooking Dornberk with a very interesting and
well-preserved architectural heritage. The village was first mentioned in old documents in 1152. When visiting Tabor one should drop by the Šantanela panoramic view – the chapel got its name from St Daniel. It is said that in the Middle Ages the local count’s catchpolls were surveying the villeins in the vineyards from this point. Since the settlement has been probably surrounded and adorned by flowerbeds throughout the history, the place got hold of the name “Roženplac – place full of roses”. The name is still used for the whole western part of the hill.
