Day of Architects will be taking place in the form of a public tribune about architecture and space. The invited speakers, sociologists, investors, politicians, builders, architects, and spatial planners will present their views on the rapidly changing general social and economic situations in the world, Europe, and Slovenia. The event is intended for reflecting on the role of architecture and the spatial in society. Various questions arise: Will we need so many new buildings in the future? How should we think about public space and public buildings? The objects we build are not merely physical constructions, but have a recognized added value. How can we recognize this added value, and is it appreciated enough? We need to think about new programmes for existing buildings, about the renovation for energy considerations and other reasons, about protecting the cultural heritage, which the quality architecture represents. How should the renovation and new programmes of uninhabited or decaying buildings look like? What attitude towards heritage in its widest sense should we have?
