As the producer of the long-time project MEDEA’S SCREAM – by authors Sašo and Mojtina Jurcer and the group INNER WORLD THEATRE, the institute JURCER has enabled an international production framework, and has thus attracted two Slovenian (Slovene National Theatre Maribor and Festival EX-PONTO Ljubljana) and two foreign co-producers: Festival ZADARSNOVA (Zadar) and Festival of the New Antique Theatre TEUTA (Kotor). After establishing cooperation with the South-Eastern Europe (Croatia, Montenegro), the show MEDEA’S SCREAM continues to also become established: in the Central European space – by being accepted into the programme of the Mittelfest Festival (Italy); in the Mediterranean space – Festival of New Theatre Forms MIKRO (Greece); and, last but not least, in the wider European space – becoming a part of the prestigious Moscow international festival SOLO. At the former festival, Medea’s Scream received a reference certificate of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Theatre Union of the Russian Federation and its theatre centre NA STRASTNOM. The afore mentioned assures the institute JURCER – as the executive producer of the group INNER WORLD THEATRE – a suitable reference framework for drawing finances of EU CULTURE 2014 - 2020 funds. Guest appearances of the production MEDEA’S SCREAM in Shanghai make this project a part of the two simultaneous projects of the European Commission: ECOC – Maribor 2012, and YICD EU-CHINA 2012, which is a unique opportunity for positioning Slovenia in the wider area – especially in the light of transferring of the traditional geopolitical centres of power. After positioning Medea’s Scream in the wider Slovenian, Central European, Mediterranean, and Slavic space, the institute JURCER aims at the global level and the wider international scene – consequently also into the multilateral relations of the EU.
