Line-flight Graz-Maribor: Markus Jeschaunig

A 56-kilometre long line-flight directly from Graz to Maribor generates a continuously filmed portrait of the living landscape along a straight line between the two closest Cultural Capitals of Europe. A floating film recording from an Airship at about 200 meter height, perpendicular to the ground, produces a precise picture of the exact route (line) between the city centres: “Hauptplatz Graz“ and “Glavni trg Maribor“ in HD resolution. People can follow the flight event from the ground on 6 October 2012 and experience the result later in two exhibitions – one in Graz and one in Maribor – where the video is projected simultaneously in large installations in public space. The flight can be followed live on a digital monitor system on Glavni trg Maribor or Hauptplatz Graz. The landscape video will also be projected in the courtyard of the historical Vetrinj Mansion (Vetrinjski dvor).
