The Student publishing house will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the death of Robert Musil, one of the central figures of Austrian and European literature of the previous century, by publishing a book and staging numerous accompanying events. The title Zgodbe, ki to niso (“Stories, but not really stories”) features a selection of different texts, ranging from short stories and various other publications to poetic reflections and excerpts from the author’s correspondence, compiled and edited by Walter Fanta. Besides holding a presentation of the book, the Student publishing house invited Slovene high schools to participate in a literary competition for best essay, based on Musil’s short story Slovenski vaški pogreb (Slovene Village Funeral). The winners will be announced on 10 October 2012.
