Between 29 May and 2 June, the members of the Slovene Wood Carvers and Modellers Association made sculptures out of tree trunks that are going to be placed along the hiking trail to the Pohorje Hills. A hiking trip to the Pohorje Hills will be organised on 6 October.
The hiking trip will start at two different locations and the participants will gather between 8.00 and 9.00 am: FRAM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – the trail leads along the stream in Fram and turns right to Ranče by the “Jug House” (Jugova domačija) known from the times of the National Liberation, and then at the Sedovec mountain pass joins with the Slivnica hiking trail.
SLIVNICA NURSERY SCHOOL – the trail runs through fields along an asphalt road to the woods and along a ridge to the edge of Ranče and then to Šestdobe. At the Sedovec mountain pass, it joins with the Fram hiking trail that leads along a hiking trail by the Centre for Pulmonary Diseases on the Pohorje Hills where the hikers will cross the Hoče–Pohorje road and arrive to their destination – the Jelka holiday home.
The trail is suitable for most age groups and the hiking trip (if walking at a moderate pace) lasts for three hours. There will be two stops on the hiking trip and a warm beverage will be provided both times. The participation is at your own risk.
At 1.30 pm, a bus service will be provided for the hikers from the Jelka holiday home to the starting point in Slivnica and in Fram. At the Jelka holiday home, lunch will be available at a special price for hikers (4 €).
