The magazine Arhitekturna beseda started to be published in February 1996 in newspaper Večer, and was the first specialised insert magazine about architecture in any of the Slovenian newspapers (similar to what readers of Le Figaro, Die Zeit, and Die Presse know). Already after a bit than four years after its creation, the magazine got more original articles published than most of the Slovenian architectural journals since the pre-war magazine Arhitektura (written by A. Hrausky, Architect’s Bulletin magazine, 1999). More than hundred experts have been writing for the magazine to date, presenting architecture to readers who would otherwise not read about this topic.
