Noriyuki Sawa Art Theatre: Fairy tales

This performance is a collage of legendary world fairy tales - e.g. Red Riding Hood, Three Pigs and a Wolf, Tortoise and Hare, etc. It comprises of assorted puppet and stage technologies - marionettes, hand-puppets, bunraku puppets, masks, shadow theatre, and more. Accompanied with ton of music the performance doesn't contain any spoken words.
Nori's view on fairy tales included in this project are best described by his anecdote: "When you get involved with the fairy tales you don't just get involved with their brightness, but their shadows as well." Nori tackled these shadows with typical Japanese puppet tools.
