The renowned British choreographer David Dawson presents the classical ballet Giselle in a new light, giving an air of freshness to its romantic story about love beyond death.
Dawson sees Giselle, Albrecht and other characters in the ballet as people adorned with youth, whose lives can easily be compared to the lives of the dancers portraying them. The production is remarkable for its perfect fusion of dance techniques of the past and present, and David Coleman's excellent reworking of the original score by Adolphe Adam.
