The Belgian National Orchestra, founded in 1936, is distinguished for its collaborations with eminent conductors, famous soloists, and promising talents. It is open to music of a variety of different styles, and so is its guest conductor, Stefan Blunier, who will lead the orchestra in its Ljubljana concert.
The soloist will be one of the most sought after piano virtuosos, the young German-Japanese pianist Alice Sara Ott. Her debut orchestral recording, featuring Tchaikovsky and Liszt, was named 'Editor’s Choice' in both International Piano and Classic FM Magazine. In 2010, she was named the 'Young Artist of the Year' at the Klassik Echo Awards.
