Love Capital, a Slovenian opera composed by Jani Golob and staged by Vinko Möderndorfer, holds a mirror to the pulse of life in our time, underpinned by values such as money, accumulation of wealth, and the sweetness of power.
The opera tells a story about a love triangle and a group of former friends whom the cruelties of life have led each to a different rung of the social ladder. It is set in a world dominated by ruthless modern-day capitalists, masters of acquiring wealth by means of manipulation, false credits, political favours and theft.
