The Chamber Orchestra of the Vienna Concert Society was established in 1987 by members of the Vienna Symphony.
The ensemble deals mainly with the repertoire of the Viennese classics, but at the same time also engages with contemporary Austrian music. It is been awarded the prize of the Ernst von Siemens Foundation as many as four times. Conductor Ernst Hoetzl regularly works with more than 30 orchestras throughout the world.
