The way the Tevče waterfall began, Laško

Once-upon-a-wildly romantic time when rivers and streams were dominated by giants of incredible power - Tritons and winged water nymphs. One of these beauties lived near the present Lahomnica stream, in a fabulous mansion in a rocky cave at the very place of today's silver-white and roaring waterfall in Tevče. Triton, coming to nocturnal visits to his sweetheart from the remote Sava river foaming waves, fell in love with her, specially in the moonlight as he found her be the most beautiful then. However, she was visited by another - younger Triton, the master of the pure Savinja river. Already this first date made her become faithless to the previous suitor, who found her embracing with the new lover. The two Triton started a life-and-death struggle, their roaring was making the land and the rocks tremble, while the water nymph ran away into her mansion and was not seen ever again. The fight caused the rock to break and a deep cave to appear, the rocks burried the beautiful nymph and the two Tritons as well, and a magnificent waterfall rose to start roaring down the wall, its roaring was actually the roaring of the Tritons and has never stopped till now. Also the rocky cave has still been the reminiscent of the bewitched rocky mansion and has been ruled by the local millers. Who does not fall for that one shall go and find out by himself.
