Upper Križ Lake (Gornje Kriško jezero) is the most interesting and at the same time the highest Slovenian lake (2154 m).
Wherever it is viewed from, it abounds with beauty:
from the gravel at its banks or from the mountain ridges or peaks that surround it.
In the alpine world, among the wasteland and grey verticals, its blue colour offers a real comfort for the eyes, like original grace.
The lake is 110 m long and 9.5m deep.
Access:
the lakes are located quite near one another at the karstic Kriški podi Plateau.
There is also a mountain lodge clearly visible from the Trenta valley.
Along the footpath from Trenta (Na Logu) it is 4 hours.
