The Puppets (Lutke) international puppet theatre festival, held in Ljubljana every other year, brings together puppet troupes from all over the world performing a rich and varied programme of puppet shows for children and adults.
The festival selection ranges from reworkings of classic fairy tales and pieces of adult literature to original puppet plays and street theatre performances. The festival is organized by the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre, which also contributes to the festival with its own productions.
