The forest trail Zaplaške stezice consists of two paths: the longer is about 3 km long, and the shorter 1 km. Both are circular and start and end at the hill of Zaplaz in the vicinity of the Holy Mother of God Pilgrimage Church. The start of both paths follows the same route until they separate at the point “Pri panju” (at the “beehive”), where the shorter trail continues towards St. Mary’s spring and the longer through the beautiful castle forest (Grajska hosta) to the top of the hill of Bajturn, which is with 609 metres the highest point in the Municipality of Trebnje.
