The Sales Department is in charge of organising B2B activities in foreign markets (workshops and other events). Through these activities it promotes Slovenia as an air travel destination and cruise destination, with the aim of promoting sales of Slovenia as a new destination (charter or scheduled services from Europe and overseas). It monitors events in the markets of individual countries and is responsible for contacts with tour operators and travel agents, for which it also organises study trips to Slovenia. The department is also in charge of cross-border cooperation and the involvement of STO in Slovenia’s tourist services in cross-border projects and products (SLOWTOURISM). At the same time it performs various forms of promotion for tourism brands at major conferences and sporting, cultural, commercial and other events.
