Okrešelj is a glacier amphitheatrical basin beneath the steep walls of the Turska gora, Rinke, Križ and Mrzla gora mountains. It's interesting because of the numerous alpine karst phenomena (limestone pavement) and variety of mountain flora. Due to all that, already in 1931 at the instigation of the regional branch of the Alpine association of Slovenia the national park Okrešelj was created. Today, the Frischauf hut is located in the Okrešelj basin.
