This wine road has magnificent views in all directions, on this and that side of the border…. The most northerly of the three wine roads wends its way over the wine growing hills of the upper most north–easterly part of Slovenske gorice and occupies a region next to the border with the Republic of Austria.
The Upper Slovenske gorice wine-tourist road will lead you through attractive places such as Jurij, Svečina, Plač, Kungota, Pesnica, Velka, Jarenina, Pernica, Jakobski dol… where you can try excellent, predominantly white sorts of wine, such as Laški Riesling, Kerner, Sauvignon, Traminec, Muscatel, Green Silvaner, Pinot gris, Chardonnay and others.
