The Slovenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Maribor's production Hommage à Stravinsky is a project marking the 130th birth anniversary of Igor Stravinsky.
The production, choreographed by Edward Clug, is conceived in two parts. Part one is a staging of Clug's work Songs for the Mating Season, and part two a staging of Stravinsky's classic The Rite of Spring.
Hommage à Stravinsky is a unique interpretation of the development of dance in the 20th century, from Vaslav Nijinsky's production of The Rite of Spring in 1913 to the present day.
