The project ECOC Tags does not value public urban space only as a representative floor area for various urban activities, but also as a multipurpose room, in which with the well-thought architectural and urban interventions brings in regeneration of spatial events in the city. The purpose and use of the taggers is the visual marking of infrastructure objects, permanent and temporary, opened and closed venues of the European Capital of Culture 2012. The color base of the balloon indicates individual areas with specific sites. The balloon can also serve as an illuminating body in the city, and offering visitors a landmark at the same time. The project consists of two general elements: Maxi tagger is a multifunctional urban attractor, which is used as a permanent, temporary, fixed, or mobile marker of the set of venues or multi-purpose performance venues. The medium and mini marker is a marker of individual sites or multi-purpose performance venues, which is installed directly to a specific scene or in front of it, and thus to announce that at this location is implementing a program Maribor EPC 2012. Maxi markers consist of three components: the wooden construction of the balloon, the wooden framework of the construction of the balloon, and the balloon. They are placed in six different locations: Glavni Trg (the main square), Slomškov trg (Slomšek square), Trg Svobode (Liberty Square), Trg Revolucije (Revolution Square), Railway station Maribor, Lent - Venice. Medium and mini markers are installed on or in front of each location in the form of boards and where it is not possible, labels. There are 107 venues.
