"I, of Me, to Me, Me" directed by Nebojša Pop-Tasić, is an indirect continuation of theater exploration that the author began in 2000 with the members of Sonček, who performed inPri luninen vogalu (At the Corner of the Moon) and Kralji in lopovi (Kings and Crooks). The latter was awarded a Gold Badge at the Borštnik Meeting. The director continues the theatrical exploration of the self and aspects of human confinement in one form. It is a combination of tragedy and powerlessness of the ego, loneliness, rebellion, tragicomedy, the family history of the ego, the betrayal of one’s ego, restriction, relativity, the female ego, intellect and insanity.
The performance I, of Me, to Me, Me will present the egos of the members of Sonček, their view of life and the world through their personal stories and contemplation. It is a project that aims to be an art event and at the same time—as all powerful and cathartic stories aspire to be—therapy for the public.
