IDRIJAN MINER’S HOUSE
Just above Frančiška’s Shaft stands a dominant “miner’s house”, i.e. a typical, reconstructed Idrijan residential house of former days, which is maintained by the Idrija Municipal Museum. The building, which eloquently reveals the dwelling habits and culture of miner’s family, was erected at the end of 18th century. Its trough renovation in framework of heritage protection work was preformed in time of celebration of Idrija’s 500th anniversary.
