Access and starting point:
Reka in the valley of the Idrijca river, accessible via Road 102 from Idrija or from Most na Soči.

Description:
The path is not only a temptation, but also an open challenge to meet the most primeval of Slovenian landscapes. It is a constant combination of ascents and descents, from peaks into ravines, from valleys onto ridges. This is just how it is though;with nature as dynamic as in these parts, one soon appreciates why every flat part of the landscape is a celebration.
The path begins in Reka in the Idrijca river valley, from where it ascends to Šebrelje and winds towards Kanomlja and the Vojsko plateau. When it touches upon the Trnovski gozd plateau,it descends in all of its magnificence past the wood barriers called “klavže”on the Belca river and through the Zgornja Idrijca regional park towards Idrija. It then makes a loop over the Trnovska planota plateau and Javornik (1241 m), and after meeting with the Idrijca river, then ascends into the heights above the far bank, where it almost meets the Škofja Loka hills. After a new jump over the Idrijca into Masore and back over the river, the path makes a circle along the Cerkno hills and after the ascent of Porezen (1630 m), past Zakojca and over Kojca (1303 m), descends back to the starting point.

Lenght: 180 km
