Jeromir is a woodcutter as large as a giant is, while his son, Josa, is small and weak. Josa is sad, for he is too frail to be a woodcutter. One faithful day, a bird presents him with a gift - a magic fiddle. When Josa plays the fiddle, anyone can either grow big and strong or shrink to the size of a leg of a fly. With his magical musical instrument, he travels to the end of the world on the back of an ant. He must endure many trials and tribulations on his journey to the Moon. As the Moon travels the sky, Josa plays his fiddle – with the Moon growing here, and shrinking there. When Jeromir looks up to the sky, he knows that the size of the Moon is up to his son creating magical music.
