In 2012 NagiB is changing its image. NagiB Parkour is a new form of contemporary art practice, which replaces the concept of the festival with the concept of parkour. Parkour is a method of movement focused on moving around obstacles with speed and efficiency, the discipline that teaches participants how to move through their environment (city) by vaulting, rolling, running, climbing and jumping. Parkour is alternatively used to indicate a route through an artistic event that is taking place in a different locations and need to be visited in a particular order. By bringing this two meanings together we are shaping a long term event that is, instead of offering static succession of already made dance performances, proposing a fluid journey in which, for a certain period of time, artists are living and working in a different spaces in the city and audience members are invited and empowered to move through and in between those spaces in a dynamic and active way.
