On Sunday, 23 September, the most inclusive stage of the European Capital of Culture, the Mayor’s Friendship Stage, will host musicians from Novi Sad, Serbia. With this second largest town in Serbia Maribor shares not only precious memories but also an active cooperation in the field of economy, tourism and of course culture. We are looking forward to the performance of the well-known 18-member Novi Sad Big Band that was founded in 2003. Slovene Big Bands have a long tradition, and in the context of different cultural events, they have cooperated several times with the Big Band from Novi Sad. This time, the Novi Sad Big Band is putting on an independent concert where they will present a part of their rich repertoire. They play pop, film, stage, jazz and soul music with a hint of Latin, which usually brings the audience to their feet. They play at home and abroad and have had over 128 guest performances. The band is known not only for its independent concerts but also for its cooperation with numerous established Serbian musicians, such as Jelena Tomašević, Massimo Savić, Aleksandra Radović and Sašo Vasić.
The musical, fun and relaxing event will take place on Sunday, 23 September, at 5.00 pm.
