Our grandmothers wore them to the most prestigious events and always kept them hidden in a closet. Nowadays, we are making an attempt to make them a part of our everyday attire. It is hard to find a young lass or lad without at least one retro/vintage item of clothing stolen from his/her grandmother, mother or aunt. Vintage culture is becoming increasingly popular among the young and young at heart, so it should not come as a surprise that we decided to include a selection of some of the most popular pieces into Štunf Festival. The workshops and fashion event should put a whiff of vintage/retro in the air.
The Vintage Day will feature “Be ECOol” workshops, with participants creating vintage collars and vintage necklaces from old shirts and other fabrics. With the help of ‘StyleMustDie’ and the ‘Aktiviraj Se’ Society (Ropotarnica) the participants will be able to design and create fashion accessories from old, discarded pieces of clothing while paying respect to the oversaturated mass production of clothing. The participants will also create retro corsages from flowers which will then be made a part of the evening fashion event.
The fashion event will be held in collaboration with the vintage/retro fashion enthusiasts ‘StyleMustDie’.
The group will take you on a journey back in time and make you feel the power of clothes. The girls will be strutting their stuff on the runway to the rhythms of vintage music and dazzle with clothing which became golden with time.
