LIBERATION ART PROJECT: SKUPAJ – MITEINANDER – TOGETHER – ENSEMBLE, Literature and Jazz: Words on Wings and Bursts of So

The project Liberation art project: skupaj – miteinander – together – ensemble was created under the initiative of artist Josef Schützenhöfer and university professor Klaus Zeyringer, who set out to analyse the impulsive reactions of the general public to events from the past and the current memory of selected controversial personalities from World War II. The aim of the project is to add an international artistic and social contribution to the debates revolving around shocking events in the past, as well as to encourage a public debate about topics and personalities connected with the events of World War II.
The literature-music event Words on Wings and Bursts of Sound will feature Slovene and Austrian writers and jazz musicians. The list of participating writers presenting their work includes Maja Hadelap, Erika Vovk, Martin Pollack and Drago Jančar. The evening will be accompanied by music, with the musical line-up featuring renowned Austrian saxophone players Wolfgang Puschnig and Christian Maurer and young and aspiring Slovene musicians, marimba player Gregor Nestorov and drummer Marko Soršak. The evening will be hosted by Aleš Šteger.
