In a co-operation of three Slovenian museums (in addition to Maribor museum, Celje and Gorica museums of contemporary history will participate), the Maribor Museum of National Liberation will present a set of simultaneous exhibitions »Bourgeoisie in Slovenia« taking place in three locations in Slovenia. The Maribor museum, in cooperation with the University of Maribor’s Faculty of Arts and other colleagues, will organise the »Bourgeoisie in Maribor« exhibition. The exhibition will open in October 2012 in new exhibition grounds in the former Velika kavarna building. The exhibition will present the development of the bourgeoisie in Maribor, its importance for the town, and everyday public and private life of those Maribor residents who can be placed into this recognizable social group. The exhibition will focus on the first half of the 20th century, especially on the 20s and 30s. In addition to the exhibition, the Maribor Museum of National Liberation will also organise a series of events, which will ensure that it will stand out from traditional exhibitions.
Exhibition is open every day between 10am and 7pm.
