The Logar valley, one of Europe’s most beautiful glacial alpine valleys, is seven kilometers long and, on average, 250 meters wide. It is divided into three sections: the lower part is called Log, the central part Plest, and the upper part Kot. Green grasslands characterize the first two sections, while Kot is predominantly forest. On the trails through the Logar valley Regional Park, an experienced guide will take visitors to the most interesting sites where they will learn much about the valley, the peaks that surround it, the life of foresters, charcoal burners, and farmers, and, above all, about the exceptional coexistence of people and nature throughout the centuries. A walk in the wonderful landscape and slightly cooler climate takes two to three hours. The seven-kilometer trail ends at the Rinka waterfall, which drops in a magnificent 80-meter arch. It is one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Slovenia and is protected as a natural monument. In the Logar valley, visitors can visit more than forty natural attractions: waterfalls, springs, rock pillars, glacial boulders, trees of exceptional dimensions . . .
