Ledine is a tranquil, almost idyllic village situated on the softly undulating plateau, a place of well-tended farms and a developed rural tourism, which is situated under the hill Gradišče and Sivka. The first written reference to Ledine was recorded in the remote year of 1063. The plateau was in the past fairly densely populated, and the fields were well tended as well. From Ledinsko (Žirovsko) Razpotje (740m) – where runs a well-known watershed between the Adriatic and Black Seas. Festivals in Ledine: St. Jacob (25. July), pilgrimage to Virgin Mary on the Rock (Marija na Skalci) in Spodnja Idrija (15. August), event known under the name From Grain to Bread (August).
