We invite you on an unforgettable experience – a drive around Ljubljana with the first open – top panoramic bus in Slovenia, called Happy Johnny.
First, Happy Johnny will take us along Dalmatinova, Komenskega, Kopitarjeva, Poljanska, Zrinjskega, Streliška streets to Ljubljana Castle. There we will have a short stopover, where we will climb to the observation platform. After we have finished veiwing the capital from the castle, we will to return to the bus and continue the tour along Streliška, Roška, Ižanka, past the Botanic Gardens to Barje and Črna Vas. Here we will take a close look at the extremely interesting Plečnik´s Church of Saint Michael´s, which is built following the building traditions of the first Christian churches. From Črna Vas we will drive down Ižanka past the Livada restaurant, down Mivka and the Karunova street, where we will see Plečnik´s house, the Church of Trnovo, then we will cross the only remaining bridge with trees growing on it, into Krakovo and Mireje with the beautifully preserved Roman Wall. Then we will continue past MDB square, down Prešernova street (the governmental and presidential palace, the diplomatic square), down Šubičeva (the parliament) to Slovenska street, past the Nebotičnik – the Skyscraper, down Viharjeva (the Navje cemetery) and Linhartova street to Žale. Then we will drive along Kranjčeva and Vojkova (faculties, MORS), all the way to the Sport Park Stožice (a new stadium) and Dunajska crystals, down the Dunajska (Plečnik´s stadium) and Samova street (the Church of Saint Franciscus), the Drenikova (the Church of Saint Bartholomew) and Celovška street to Tivoli. Here we will get off the bus and go on foot through Tivoli, past the Cekinov and Tivoli Castles, along Jakopič promenade with the open air gallery – we are going to look at the current exibition – to Moderna and the National Gallery all the way along the Cankarjeva to the city centre. If you do not want to walk through Tivoli Happy Johnny will take you back to the point of departure, Dalmatinova bus stop, in front of Metalka.
