Čaven is a group of peaks at the southern end of the plateau. The hut on Čaven (1242 m) where you can also stay overnight, is open from 1st May until 31st October at weekends and holidays, and from 1st November until 30th April on Sundays. Golaki (1495 m) is the highest peak of the Trnovo forest. The lodge Iztokova koča pod Golaki (1260 m) is open every day in July and August, however during the rest of the year it is open at weekends and holidays.
The paths are marked. Also the Slovenian Mountain Transversal leads across the area, as well as the Slovenian Geological Path and the Path of Couriers and Operators of the National Liberation War (pot kurirjev in vezistov NOB).
