Velenje Museum at Velenje Castle will feature exhibitions from three artists during the summer months of 2012: Anja Jerčič, Nataša Tajnik Stupar, and Uroš Potočnik. They were born in the 1970’s and studied art. They all live in Velenje or nearby and are drawn to traditional painting techniques. The digital era might prompt some to say that paintings are nostalgic, blasphemous, and archaic but this is not the case. It’s up-to-date and fresh. Paintings have a definite place in the history of culture and constantly give art the characteristics of an institution and a monumental feel. On the other hand, paintings are a means of primary communication, which is not burdened with technology and modern practice contents.
The first out of three exhibition presents works by Anja Jerčič.
Opening Hours: Tuesday-Sunday: 10:00-18:00
